Age:  Approx. 8 years old

Breed:  Pomeranian

Size:  Approx. 18 lbs

Adoption Status:  Reggie is not yet available for adoption

Personality:  Reggie likes attention and belly rubs! He loves being petted and playing with his squeaky toys.

House training/Pee Pad Training:  Reggie is not housetrained and wears a belly band when he is inside, but we have learned that he has a large kidney stone, and this may be impacting his ability to

Walks/Leash Training:  Reggie gets excited to go for walks, but is ready to be picked up after a few minutes in the snow.

Children:  Reggie loves children and would do great in a home with kids.

Dogs, Cats and Other Friends:  Reggie may need a few days to adjust, but with proper introduction, he gets along with other dogs.

Best Home Environment:  Reggie is not afraid to use his voice, so he will require a home without shared walls. Preference may be given to a home with a securely fenced yard.

A note about secure fencing - While each dog is different in the level of security needed, we require the fence be of a height that the dog could not jump over (some of our dogs can easily scale a 5 foot fence), no gaps in fencing, gate is secure, and the bottom of the fence is also free from gaps or areas where a dog could dig out from underneath.

A note about being a flight risk - Flight risk can be the result of many things, including fear, lack of "street-wise" skills, or incredible curiosity for the sights, smells, and sounds on the other side of the fence. Any of these reasons could lead to the dog attempting to break free of their leash or seek out gaps so they can move past the fence.

We strongly encourage adopters to enrol in a basic obedience course with the dog they adopt. Participating in an obedience course can help build trust between human and dog, help the dog gain confidence and social interaction skills, and build strong recall skills, in addition to the on and off leash skills that basic obedience training can provide.

Health:  Reggie has not yet completed his vetting. He is waiting for surgery for his kidney stone, and will also undergo dental surgery before he is available for adoption.

History:  Reggie is an owner surrender.

Adoption Fee:  Reggie's adoption fee is $500.
